MEET THE OWNER

Sheldon D'Huyvetter

Renegade Diesel was born from owner Sheldon D’Huyvetter's passion for trucks and a strong desire to enhance or repair anything. This passion began young fixing anything from a toy to a vehicle. Sheldon bought, repaired, and sold RC cars until he saved enough for his first truck. He did the same with his first trucks, one thing led to another, and Renegade Diesel started in Sheldon’s parent's garage. He tried following the path he thought he was supposed to and went off to college for engineering in Platteville, WI. While at UWP he found himself working on trucks more than he was doing his homework and it was then that he realized Diesel work was indeed his passion in life.

In 2011 Renegade Diesel went from his parent’s garage to his first shop in Humbird, WI. Having a business in the middle of nowhere and minimal means to get by, let alone advertise (he never advertised), it was Sheldon’s incredible knowledge and unbeatable personality that got him to where he is today; doing what he loves in the heart of Eau Claire. In 2015 Renegade Diesel made the big and exciting move to the old Midstate International building on Clairemont in Eau Claire.

Sheldon has built his business from the ground up and takes extreme pride in the strong value of integrity in his shop and providing his customers with a high quality of work that not only brings them back but has them sending others Renegade Diesel's way. While he is the owner of a successful business, you wouldn’t be able to tell when you walk through the door. Sheldon is actively involved in every aspect of his business; every single position and every single job will always have a little of Sheldon’s mind and hands in it.

Having belonged to a large and close-knit family with strong morals and values has created a family-like environment at Renegade Diesel. He believes that the happiness of his coworkers (he doesn’t call them his employees) that he considers to be family is crucial. He feels that happy employees will result in happy and loyal customers. After 10 years of growth, improvement, success, and constant positive word of mouth referrals, this has proven to have worked well for him.
